The conference was chaired by Jan Van Lith MD, PhD, Leiden University Medical
Centre (Netherlands), and Karen Sermon MD, PhD, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium).

Congratulations to Citra Mattar, winner of the 2010 Young Scientist Award for her presentation, "Intrauterine delivery of AAV efficiently transduces the liver and CNS in the non-human primate fetus."
Congratulations to the winners of the 2008 and 2009 Malcom Ferguson Smith awards, which will be presented at the 15th International Conference.
2008 winner: Dr. Olivier Picone (France) “Comparison between ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging in assessment of fetal cytomegalovirus infection”
2009 winner: Dr. Tianjao Chu (US) “A microarray-based approach for the identification of epigenetic biomarkers for the noninvasive diagnosis of fetal disease” (Dr. David Peters will accept the award on behalf of Dr. Chu)
