One Chapter Closes and Another Opens

Elliott GrahamElliott Graham, who has served as Executive Director of ISPD for the last 11 years, is retiring on 1 September 2017. With Elliott’s leadership and the support of the Headquarters staff, ISPD has grown to over 300 members, expanded benefits to members, and gone from holding conferences every two years to holding them annually. Elliott plans to enjoy some well-deserved time with her daughters and grandchildren.

Alison CockrellAlison Cockrell has served for several years as ISPD’s Program Director, with involvement in all aspects of conference planning and other programs that benefit ISPD members. She has worked closely with the Board of Directors and other leaders in the society, and is well prepared to step into this new role. NIH names Dr. Diana Bianchi director of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development

Former ISPD President, Diana Bianchi, MD was appointed the Director of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at NIH.  
As NICHD director, Dr. Bianchi will oversee research on pediatric health and development, maternal health, medical rehabilitation, population dynamics, reproductive health, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Read more...
