Season’s greetings everyone, and welcome to the last issue for 2022.
As the year draws to a close, I hope you are able to spend the holidays with your loved ones and families. As a family, we have achieved much this year. I hope to take stock of our achievements, and thank you for all your support this year.
Since coming out of the pandemic, it has been a busy year indeed for us. We had our first, very well received, post-pandemic, in-person Conference in Montreal in June this year. We have continued to advance our Virtual Education Series; we saw a great response for our three webinars so far, and plans are underway to continue the monthly series into January, February, and March next year.
We have expanded our educational outreach to Singapore, and have plans to reach out to the Central America, the Middle East, and Asia next year. In addition to our impact on education, we have also strengthened our industry ties – our Corporate Council presently comprises nine member companies.
In line with this expansion of our educational activities, our membership has grown from strength to strength: we have now grown to beyond 600 active members. We remain committed to looking after your interests, and have refreshed our Board of Directors for 2022-2024. I personally look forward to hearing from each of you. We have a growing community of voices on ISPD Connect, including our four Special Interest Groups, and I would love to exchange thoughts and ideas with you there. We also recently launched a Curation Corner section in our journal Prenatal Diagnosis, and I hope this heralds for us a vibrant space for scientific discourse.
I am excited thinking about the year ahead. I look forward to our work together, and to meeting all of you again at our upcoming scientific meeting, the 27th International Conference on Prenatal Diagnosis and Therapy, 18-21 June 2023 in Edinburgh, UK. In the meantime, I wish you all a happy holiday season, a wonderful New Year ahead!
