President's Message

Dear ISPD Members and Colleagues:

I hope you have had a healthy and productive start to 2024. It seems we are all busier than ever with both professional and personal commitments, and I hope you were all able to get some well-earned rest over the holiday season.

ISPD has many programs planned for the year, including one entirely new endeavour. Please find more details below.

We hope to welcome many of you to our 28th International Conference in Boston 7-10 July 2024. Registration is now open, and we have a very strong program planned. Please register as early as you can to take advantage of the advance registration rates. The Westin Copley Place will be our home for the week, and we invite you all to enjoy all Boston has to offer while you are there.

Our popular Virtual Education Series continues to provide complimentary educational webinars on the latest developments in prenatal diagnosis and fetal therapy. We have had to shuffle our schedule a bit this year due to speaker availability, but please watch your email for future dates.

Our Journal Club offers our members a regular chance to network and discuss articles in Prenatal Diagnosis and other well-regarded journals. This virtual club started last year and is growing into a valuable member benefit.

Finally, and for the first time ever, ISPD will be offering additional courses similar to our preconference courses entirely virtually later this year. Our preconference courses have proven to be very popular, and we hope that the virtual version will allow even more of our colleagues to take part.

One of the Board’s goals this year is to learn from our members, and we have begun to invite SIG Co-Chairs and Committee members to attend all or portions of the ISPD Board meetings. We also have Samantha Leonard, the Chair of the ISPD Corporate Council, attending a portion of each Board meeting to share industry’s perspective. In that spirit, please do not hesitate to contact ISPD at if you need any assistance or have any questions about ISPD membership or our programs.
