President's Message, Louise Wilkins-Haug, MD, PhD

Welcome to a new year and a new initiative from ISPD.

ENGAGING THE NEXT GENERATION reaches out to trainees in all areas with an ongoing platform to acquaint them with ISPD through complimentary membership to the society. Membership makes available access to Prenatal Diagnosis, engagement in special interest groups, reduced meeting registration, and a dedicated website presence. Through ISPD website access, the initiative will soon foster mentor-mentee partnerships, an online community, opportunities for networking with other members and trainees, and a career development series. Watch for news of “Next Generation” eligible travel awards to the Singapore conference in September!

Adalina Sacco and Anna David, Fetal Therapy SIG

The Fetal Therapy SIG's interactive map of the global availability of fetal surgery for Spina Bifida has been updated in 2019. This project was initiated with a 2017 questionnaire to a selection of fetal medicine and pediatric neurosurgery experts around the world who were known or thought to be providing this service. We invite all units not included in this map to submit their details to the ISPD Fetal Therapy SIG for inclusion in this public resource.
