2021 Update from the Board of Directors
|

 |
Lyn Chitty, PhD, MRCOG
As we start the New Year, I am sure that we are all relieved to have left 2020 behind. This time last year none of could have imagined the changes that have occurred in our lives in the last 12 months. We can only hope that 2021 brings better things, although for many of us times remain very challenging. However, on behalf of the ISPD Board of Directors, I would like to offer you my best wishes as we move into 2021.
As a Board, we are committed to offering our members and non-member colleagues valuable resources and education to help further our mission of advancing the science and practice of genetics and fetal care worldwide by promoting the health of children, their mothers, and their families. We have a variety of programs planned for 2021, highlighted by the 2021 International Conference on Prenatal Diagnosis and Therapy, which will be held virtually 6-8 June 2021. Please mark your calendar and consider submitting an abstract for presentation and publication as a part of this unique meeting. Live panel discussions will be offered in two different time zones, and the conference will include sessions on hot topics, invited talks on the latest research, and our exciting debates.
We are also planning to hold several of our popular training courses virtually throughout the year, along with awebinar seriesfocused on articles of interest that appear in Prenatal Diagnosis.
Finally, we are pleased to announce that we will be launchingISPD Connect, which is a robust member engagement platform that allows for members to pose questions, share resources, and inquire after collaborators online.
Please watch for information in your email about all these opportunities and contact ISPD Headquarters with any questions. We look forward to your participation!
