Call for Abstracts

Submission Deadline: Monday, 1 March 2020, 11:59 EST (UTC-5)

ISPD welcomes abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations at the 24th International Conference on Prenatal Diagnosis and Therapy. Abstracts are encouraged for the categories listed at the bottom of this page. You may submit an abstract for a podium presentation, scientific poster, or collaboration poster.  Descriptions are below.

A link to submit abstracts will be posted here in mid-November.

Abstract Types

Oral Presentation

  • Podium presentation in a concurrent session. Sessions will be held Tuesday-Friday, 16-20 June 2020.
  • All submission sections required: objective, methods, results, and conclusions
  • Wide-screen slide format (16:9)
  • Peer reviewers will select abstracts for presentation in the Top Abstracts plenary session or the Current Hottest Topics plenary session.
  • Abstracts by early career investigators will be considered for the Joe Leigh Simpson Award.

Scientific Poster

  • Attended poster session on either Wednesday, 17 June 2020, or Thursday, 18 June 2020
  • All submission sections required: objective, methods, results, and conclusions
  • Poster authors with the highest peer review scores will be invited to give a brief oral presentation during a "lightning communication" session on either Wednesday, 17 June 2020, or Thursday, 18 June 2020. Each presenter will have 2 minutes to speak and 2 minutes for Q&A. These authors are also expected to present the paper poster during an attended poster session.

Collaboration Poster

Please select this type of abstract submission if you are looking for collaborators to work with you on future or ongoing research. Collaboration posters will be displayed in the Collaboration Corner and will offer the opportunity to network with others to further research and gain feedback. You do not need to complete each objective, methods, results, and conclusions section; please provide as much detail as possible and write “Not applicable” where necessary.

All presenters must register for the conference, at least for the day of their assigned session. Presenters who are unable to attend on their assigned day may have a co-author present in their place and must contact ISPD Headquarters to make this substitution.
